Dr Kaur is a senior research scientist at Agriculture Victoria, Australia who leads the genomic and predictive breeding of grain crops. In 2000, she gained a Masters degree in Biochemistry from Punjab Agricultural University, India followed by PhD in Molecular Genetics from The University of Melbourne, Australia. She has been working in the genetics and genomics field for more than 20 years and delivered a range of industry outputs for the benefit of Australian growers. Her research aims to improve grain crop breeding by combining genomics, quantitative genetics, and statistical modelling. She is highly passionate about applying research findings to farmers' fields.
