Dr Marie-Laure Pilet-Nayel is research director at UMR IGEPP of INRAE Rennes. Trained in quantitative genetics and plant breeding, she acquired skills in phytopathology and genomics. His research has focused on genetics of disease and pest resistance in grain legumes for over 20 years, with main achievements on Aphanomyces root rot for breeding resistant varieties in peas. Since 2021, she has led an IGEPP team, developing research on resistance and durability of grain legumes and potatoes to major diseases. For several years, she has also chaired the Pulse section of the French variety registration authorities. She is the author or co-author of more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed international journals. She has coordinated several projects and workpackages for major projects, notably in the French multidisciplinary projects "Investment for the Future" PEAMUST and SPECIFICS or in the Horizon Europe project BELIS.
