INRAE. Department of Biology and Plant Breeding. Estrées-Mons. France

Dr Isabelle Lejeune-Hénaut is a research scientist at INRAE, UMRT BioEcoAgro. Her program has long been dedicated to the genetics of frost tolerance in grain legumes, implementing quantitative genetics, omics and ecophysiological approaches and resulting in about 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals. She has been particularly interested in the co-control of frost tolerance and phenological development. In this field, she supported the development of a plant breeding program which led to the registration of winter pea varieties highly responsive to photoperiod. Her current projects target the evolution of frost stress in the context of climate change, encompassing the development of adapted phenotyping tools.
